Miguel Cabrera boxing up his childhood dreams of winning a World Series with Detroit.
Boston, Massachusetts (AP) –Local storage facility Storage Plus, announced Saturday that they would be able to accommodate the Detroit Tigers in storing their post-season hopes and dreams until the Spring of 2014. Tiger’s manager Jim Leyland contacted Storage Plus shortly after Shane Victorino’s grand slam Saturday night. “[Storage Plus] had the best prices, and that is what it came down to when I made my decision to store away any World Series ambitions for 2013.” Miguel Cabrera, the Tiger’s infielder, began packing up his hopes and dreams as early as Game 2 against the Sox. “I’ve already reached out to Carlos about storing away his Series aspirations this season.” Miguel said of his friend and St. Louis Cardinal slugger Carlos Beltran.
